David Lee Kroese, 55, of Lincoln, NE, passed away August 12, 2023. He was born June 7, 1968 in Lincoln, NE to Kenneth and Susan Lee Kroese. He was baptized at the Waverly United Methodist Church. David attended Hamlow Elementary School and Waverly High School, graduating with the class of 1986. He participated in Waverly wrestling and football. During high school, he began working as a printer at National Crane and continued after graduating. He worked at the University of Nebraska, DSL Dry-wall, and for the last 17 years, Upland Trucking for 84 Lumber. On September 5, 1998, he was united in marriage to Suzette Lavalier. Together they made their home in Lincoln. 

He is survived by his wife, Suzette Kroese, daughters, Danielle Decker and Maranda Decker, grandchildren, Averie, Silas, Linkoln, Havana, and Kenobi, parents, Ken and Sue Kroese, brothers, Jim and John, and sister, Kathy.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Irene Lee, Herman and Opal Kroese, uncles, Eldon Kroese, Bill Kroese and Richard Gable, and cousin, Darin Gable. 

Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Bethlehem Covenant Church, 18841 N. 98th Street, Waverly, NE.
