Joan (Paul) Deyoe, 92, of Lincoln, NE, passed away November 12, 2021 at the Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was born in Dodge City, KS September 16, 1929, to parents Grover and Katherine (Fuller) Paul.
Joan was a graduate of Dodge City High School and attended Dodge City Community College. She was a longtime member of the Jetmore Presbyterian Church, serving as youth Sunday school teacher and superintendent. She was a loving wife, mother and devoted caregiver to her husband who suffered with MS for over 30 years. Faced with caring for the health of her husband, mother, and mother-in-law wh ile in her 60’s, Joan became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She had also worked as a librarian’s assistant and Deputy Clerk of the District Court in Jetmore.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheri (Ted) Boro, of Omaha, NE; sons, Jack (Tari) Deyoe, of Lincoln, NE; Ted (Barbara) Deyoe, of Chetopa, KS; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ezra J. Deyoe (2002), and four siblings, Bruce, Jackie, Dwayne, and Jeredith.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Metcalf Funeral Home chapel, 245 N 27th Street, Lincoln, NE.
Burial will take place at Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
