Lillian Magdalen (Ell) Miller, 84, passed away on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at her home in Cortland Nebraska with her family by her side.  She was born to Wendelin and Anna Mary (Dutenhoeffer) Ell on December 13, 1935 in Aberdeen South Dakota. She was the youngest of nine children.  Lillian graduated from Central High School in Aberdeen South Dakota in 1955.

     Lillian married Roger George Miller on June 23, 1956 in Aberdeen South Dakota.  She enjoyed spending time with her family playing games and cards.  She was very involved in her community, The Cortland Improvement Association and an active member in St. James Catholic Church Altar Society and Craft Club.  Lillian loved attending and singing at the Cortland Opry along with her husband Roger.

     Lillian is survived by her husband Roger, their seven children: Stephen Miller (Jane) of Marshalltown Iowa, Jayne (Russell Sayers) of Clarkson, Nebraska, Catherine (James Windell) of Bluffdale, Utah, Richard (Rita) of Carson City, Nevada, Patricia (Marty Sterneker) of Wichita, Kansas, Sandra (Philip TenHulzen) of Firth, Nebraska and John (Brooke Stansbury) Lincoln, Nebraska. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one brother, Edward (Lois) Ell of Tacoma, Washington.

     She is preceded in death by her parents, Wendelin and Mary Ell, sisters: Eleanor Helm, Appie Friske, Kathy Ereth and Eva Stratton, brothers Joe Ell, Mike Ell and Albert Ell. 

     The family had a private service at the St. James Catholic Church on Saturday December 5.  Cards can be sent to PO Box 67 Cortland, NE 68331.  

Memorials will be given to the St. James Catholic Church in Cortland, NE.
